Dog-friendly cafe on the Gold Coast

If the dog comes everywhere with you, the Beach House in Currumbin is built for it. The Cafe sits right down on the sand by Currumbin Creek, so you can have a coffee and a bite with the dog at your feet and the water a few steps away.

Why it works for dogs

It's open air, it's calm, and the creek out front is flat protected water rather than pounding surf, which makes it an easy place to spend a slow morning. Walk in, no booking needed, doors from 6:30am. Order a coffee from our house blend, an Acai or something light, and let the morning go where it wants.

A good plan for a dog day, breakfast on the sand, a wander along the creek, and back for a cold drink before the afternoon heat. In winter the Parisian Hot Chocolate does the job instead.

In Burleigh too

If you're up the highway at the original bakery, the outdoor seating there is dog-friendly as well, so you're not leaving anyone in the car while you grab a pastry. 1748 Gold Coast Highway, walk-in from 6:30am.

One small thing

Dogs are welcome in the open-air areas, so on a busy weekend the creekside Cafe is the spot to aim for rather than an indoor table. Bring water, we've usually got a bowl going too.
