Baby showers and events on Currumbin Creek

Tarte Beach House has two private spaces on the water at Currumbin, a bakery and kitchen thirty metres from the table, and a garden that has already done the decorating. Baby showers, bridal showers, hens, milestone birthdays and long work lunches, from 12 to 80 guests.

Baby shower venue on the Gold Coast

The Tea Garden is the one that stops people at the door: flowers and greenery everywhere you look, soft light through the leaves, beside the restaurant on the creek. Book a private high tea for up to 24 guests seated among the roses, or take the whole garden for up to 80 guests standing. Bring your own florals, props and signage; the garden carries an arch beautifully.

The Hideout sits above the Beach House, looking over the creek through a 100-year-old fig tree. Air-conditioned, with its own balcony and dedicated staff, it hosts seated showers of 12 to 32 guests over a three-hour sitting, as a private high tea or a family-style lunch.

Bridal showers and hens

Same two spaces, with the drinks turned up. Whole Tea Garden hire runs from high tea with beer and prosecco to canapes, cocktails and an unlimited drinks package, from 2pm to an 8pm finish. The Hideout suits a seated bridal high tea with a glass of sparkling on arrival and a drinks tab.

Birthdays, corporate and long lunches

Book a long table or the whole restaurant with some of the best views on the coast. Shared dining in the restaurant seats 6 to 16 on a set brunch or a two-course package. Packages and prices

Tea Garden private high tea: $55 a head, up to 24 guests seated outside, plus $500 to make it private.

Whole Tea Garden hire: $55 a head for high tea with beer and prosecco, or $90 a head with canapes and cocktails. Unlimited drinks add $30 a head. Minimum 30, up to 80 standing, from 2pm to an 8pm finish.

Space-only Tea Garden hire: $1,000 for three hours after 2pm, or $1,500 within trading hours, plus $300 per additional hour.

The Hideout private high tea or family-style lunch: $89 a head, 12 to 32 seated, three hours including set-up, with a glass of sparkling, wine or a mocktail on arrival.

Restaurant shared dining: $55 a head for the two-course package or $40 a head for the set brunch, 6 to 16 guests over a two-hour sitting. All prices include GST.

How to book

Email hello@tarte.com.au with your date, rough numbers and what you have in mind. We check availability across the spaces, hold your date, and a 50% deposit secures it. The Beach House is a daytime venue, so events sit across the morning and early afternoon, with whole-garden hire into the evening.

Baby shower and function questions

How much does a baby shower cost at Tarte Beach House? From $55 a head for a private high tea in the Tea Garden to $89 a head in The Hideout, with a minimum of 12 guests. Whole-garden hire is from $55 a head with a minimum of 30.

Can we decorate? Yes. Florals, props, musicians, signage and an arch are all welcome. Whole-venue hire carries a $2,000 refundable bond.

Can we bring our own cake? No, council health rules mean outside food and drink cannot come in. Our bakery makes celebration cakes to order with 24 to 48 hours notice, so the cake can be ours and still be yours.

What if it rains? The Hideout is indoors and air-conditioned. Whole Tea Garden hire includes the inside space as well as the garden.

Is there parking? Free parking next to the Beach House, with more a short stroll over the bridge.

How far ahead should we book? Weekends book out first. Send the date as soon as you have it and we will hold it while you choose a package.
